In the health industry there are times where there is a particular focus on a particular food and whether it is good for you or not.

The focus in recent times are carbohydrates.

This question comes up time and time again, should you or shouldnt you have carbohydrates....

Here is the answer to the question:

Yes you do need carbohydrates in the diet, it is the amount you have and the type of carbohydrate. 

Here is a list of the carbohydrates that should be consumed in a small amount:

  • white breads and pastas 
  • Sweets
  • Cakes
  • pastries
  • takeaway foods
Here is a list of good carbohydrates that should be consumed daily:
  • Fruit and vegetables
  • Sweet potato
  • Lentils
  • corn
  • quinoa
  • whole grains
  • oats
