12 months ago I decided to do a challenge that would change my life.
I challenged myself to put myself in the shoes of my clients and go on a health journey. Using good, nutrient dense food I lost 8 kilos, but what has happened since then?
I thought I would give you an health update:
Since then I have kept my weight off, I am at a healthy weight and I have been maintaining my weight through healthy eating and exercise.
I make sure no matter what happens in life, no matter how stressful that I never take it out on food.
I also really had to think about why I gained weight to begin with and how to prevent myself from getting back into the same situation.
I had to sit back and decided what is best for me and my future. The matter of fact is I cant be any good to anyone else if I dont look after myself first.
For anyone that is thinking about making a change, here is some advice from personal experience.
For anyone at a cross roads you have to find the strength within to say enough is enough......
Losing weight can be more then just food. It is what is behind the eating that has to be addressed. Do you eat to nourish your body or do you eat to get rid of the pain and emotions?
The first step to changing your life is to answer this question and be honest with yourself. If you eat to ease the pain, to get rid of the emotions then that has to be addressed as well as dietary changes. If the main issue isnt addressed, the emotional eating may continue.
Learn to Love yourself again......
