Many of us from time to time get into a routine that we cant get out of. This can affect all aspects of your life, sometimes not in a good way.

Being in a routine that you cant break out of can affect you in many different aspects of your life. This can include:
  • Diet and lifestyle 
  • Work and stress in your life
  • Not spending quality time with loved ones
Getting out of your comfort zone can be exciting but can also be scary especially if its a life changing move. 

We only have one life to live and being too comfortable can make life stand still. This can end up putting you in a position you dont want to be in.

Here is a couple of examples on what I mean: 

Example 1: You are overweight and view food as comfort. It calms you during times of stress and you can escape from the world. You have a past history and food helps you to forget in the moment. Your health is compromised and it is recommended for you to have a complete diet and lifestyle change.

 However, going on a complete diet and lifestyle change means you have to face your fears and can no longer using food as an escape. 

Example 2: Life is very stressful for you. You work long hours and come home at all hours of the night You dont get to spend quality time with friends, family and loved ones.

 You also feel that you dont have time to eat right so you grab take away foods and what ever is convenient.

This starts to affect your health in a negative way and you know you have to make some sort of change. 

There are some steps that you can follow to help you get outside of your comfort zone: 
  1. Know what you want to do
  2. Plan ahead and talk over the situation at hand 
  3. Be Confident in what you are about to do
  4. Change your way of thinking 
  5. Think Positive in what you are about to do
  6. Never give up on your dreams 
The best way on knowing what to do is speak to someone, a health professional, a loved one or a friend. Talk it out and decide whether getting out of the comfort zone is the best thing for you to do. It all depends on the situation at hand and how it affects your life. Every situation is different.
